Post subject:  Any mini owners in Bathurst?

I'm moving to Bathurst tomorrow (mini will follow in a few weeks), just wondering if there are any mini people up there?

I'll finally have a garage and space to work on my mini!! :D

I met an old mechanic called Awberry in Mudgee once. I heard he worked with racing Minis back in the 60s. Is he still around? He fixed my remote gearshift once when I hit a protruding rock on Rocky Waterhole Rd back in the 1990s. That was when it was still a dirt road.

The name sounds familiar, Kevin(?) or Ken(?) Aubrey i think. Mike might know more.

I hear whispers about a few guys in/around town that have had a bit to do with mini's (especially racing) in their time.

Yep I think it was Kevin Auberry. He didnt say very much, but he seemed to be liked by the locals. I also heard he worked with/for Brabham during his heyday.
