Just bought a inlet manifold to suit extractors. It has 4 bolt holes. I have been assured that it will fit the large SU running on the car which has two bolt holes, until i get the SU off the car im not sure on the distance between the bolts on the SU and whether they will fit diagonally across the inlet manifold.

Anybody quickly give me dimensions for large SU (HS4 i think).

Sounds like you were sold a manifold for a hs6. I think the mounting holes were the same for the hs4 and hs6, more bolts were added for more support I guess.
