Hi all,

Just decided to replace my 78 clubman's tandem master cylinder for a new gmc227 master cylinder, since the old one had rust inside. I knew that the connections were different, so I bought a BAU5654 adaptor kit for it.

After putting the MC in I realised that this wouldn't fit - the pipes are too short and don't reach the valve.

Initially, I thought I'd just bought the wrong kit, because I looked at the minisport site and found that they sold a little brass adapter with their MCs to attach to the lower pipe, since the thread is bigger:

http://www.minisport.com.au/prod604.htm

BUT on another site, it says that the pipes need to be swapped, since the pipes attach to the opposite sides of the valves that the original - this is what I was lead to believe in the first place:

So, which is it? And where can I get one of these adaptor nuts?

Thanks.
