Post subject: | Mixture Screws on my Dellorto, how to tune???? |
Hi Guys, Just want to know if the 2 main screws on top of my Dellorto with springs attached for each barrel are mixture screws? Is this how i control how much fuel is given? I find unless I run my Dellorto 40mm with the choke slighly on when I go to take off at lights, the car dies then comes back into life, and bubbles and farts on low revs acceleration. I also find that if I am on the highway and have taken my foot off the acclerater down hills, etc, then go to put it back on, the car kicks back like it dies, but then roars into life again, and away we acclerate. However if I have the choke on a little it seems to hide all these problems. Only now and again does it come back. Also the Dellorto after a run has sweat all over it, I beleive from what I am told this means it is running good? Can anyone shed any light on how to fix my problem, or what's causing it? Thank you. |

Those 2 screws adjust the idle mixture and part throttle. They are fuel screws- screw them in to make leaner. Same as Webers. This is the opposite of most other common carbs. Get Matt Read or somebody to set them up who knows what they are doing... the carb may have wrong emulsion tubes or jets in it for a Mini. |
