| Post subject: | Rod change measurement help |
Can I please get somone to measure something on a rod change setup for me? I need a measuremenent from the pivot point of the gear lever (nominal centreline) to the front of the internal crossmember (the face where the seat mounts go). If I take a stab in the dark I'd be guessing it somewhere in the 5-6 inches range. Thanks.

A template from a rod change car would be the best way??? You're trying to work out where to put the holes for the cotton reel mounts? |

Not far off. My deluxe had remote mounting and I'm going the rod. My holes may be a fraction out from normal because my engine sits tilted forward a bit, but just for playing round at the moment I'm after its mounting location. Measuring to the stick is better for me as I don't know how I'll make the bracket to hold it yet (exhaust seems to hit). |

I've got a few with rod changes here you could measure/take a template from, come round and have a look if you like. Andrew |
