Ok straight to the point what is better to get more horsepower injection or carb/webber on a mini motor. |

Depends. Generally speaking the siamese head is the bottleneck for injection, so carby on a 5 port head. If you have an 8 port head things can look the other way though. |

Most stuff I've seen you can get the same peak horsepower with the carb but the fuel injection makes for a nicer way to get there. |

Like what Harley says. If its 5 port then a carb is what you want. For an 8 port/7 port or bimmer twinky then injection is the go. Siamese port injection is a box you really dont want to open. |

A mate has an Escort. He had a Weber on it and had it dynoed. A few weeks later he put Injection on it and went back to the same dyno to have it set up. The Weber did make more HP, but not by a lot, however the Injection was found to be easier starting (not the the Weber was a problem), smoother all round and better MPG. |
