For a set of 4 in fair condition I'd say around $200 so $50 each give or take 10 to 20 bucks depending on overall condition, center caps and wheel nuts.

That much!! I hate mine and would love to replace them with standard wheels and hubs. Someone replaced my front drums with cooper S discs back in 1992 - i didnt do it. Does that affect the type of wheel I can attach to them?
Also notice the front wheels hang out about approx 4 cm out from the body. When I replaced the front bearings years ago, I kinda of remember putting in spacers because I had to (i think).
My question is: what sort of wheels do I have to get to put on the normal wheels back on? And how much will this costs?

Some 3.5x10 steel Mini wheels will fit, it depends whether the calipers are S originals, and also whether the wheels centres are rivetted or spot welded in.
They will stick out 1" more than they did with flat drums though.

If you have an early Mini, 10" jellybeans are period correct, which is more than you can say for some of the cheap (and too big) Chinese junk wheels being flogged now. I agree with Tombo, about $200 a set of 4 with nuts, if in good condition.

And how much will this costs? they go for much more than that on eBay! if you were closer i'd be interested in doin some sort of swap with steel wheels.

The only standard steel wheels which fit over 7.5" S discs and don't stick out heaps are either Cooper S 4.5x10 (costly), Clubman S 4.5x10, or Clubman GT 4.5x10 (rare now). Clubman GT are a Rostyle wheel, similar to a Clubman S but have 8 ventilation slots, not 4.
