Guys, as title says the ignition light is staying on whilst driving...... is it a wiring problem, or something more sinister (Alternator ![]() |

My money is on the alternator, (or the V regulator if it's the early 15AC with separate reg so beloved by S owners...) Could just be slip ring brushes- if so it's a cheap easy fix on `most' Lucas alternators. ![]() |

I`d just check that the fan belt is actually still on there first,,, If it is,,,then look at the wiring or altinator for faults |

![]() With a 15AC alternator it's on the RH inner guard, a square box about fag packet size. On all the ones since (ie Clubbie ones) it's inside the alternator. More reliable. ![]() ![]() |

Problem when checked this arvo was intermittent..... changed the V Regulator and the problem seems to have disappeared ![]() ![]() |
