Well i disconnected the battery 2day on the Mini! It wont be getting driven for quite some time now, so it will just sit in the shed with the covers over it and wait as it always has. Thanks to a serious downhill mountain biking accident, ive broken my left leg in 3 places, scored 3 large plates, bout 10 screws and two cuts 18cm long on either side of my leg. Lucky the commodore's automatic!!

Sunday morn, 6th march, went for a ride off the side of the Kuranda Range, on the downhill track. Got near the bottom, went off a drop i wasnt familiar with, and the rest im not to sure of. Had to drag my ass to the road and flag down a passing motorist, (who i do thank a lot) and they called the ambos.

Got me into the Cairns Base Hospital, found has broken both bones in the leg, near the ankle completely in half, and has split one bone as well. Dislocated the foot quite badly aswell, and this has torn some muscle off the bone. So have plate either side of the leg and another plate in the front of the leg. So got to suck on quite a lot of NOS cause the morphine couldnt numb the pain.

Had to wait till mon to get operated on, problem was though they had to relocate the foot b4 they could take xrays and this was what was causing a lot of the pain, so they had to dose me right up! Then they relocated the foot with breakin it off the leg!!! I was still kinda with it though, remember them strugglin to get it back in cause my muscles had seized up, cause i had been waiting in emergency for 3hrs!!!

Got outta hospital the other day..

A friend of mine was riding a dirt bike with her partner and she fell off. The bike landed on her leg, and not only broke it in several places, but the zorst burnt her leg like you wouldn't believe!

Sorry to hear about your accident! Take it easy ey!!

Did the NOS make you go faster?

Whats the bike look like now mate?

Easy enough to do - I ride a bit of downhill down here in Tassie and have seen some pretty nasty injuries...

Hope you are back on the bike and in the mini soon...

Big Dan

Thanks lad, should be all good, will need to do some physio when the cast comes off, but ill get by. Off work at the momment, lucky it was the left leg so i should be able to drive the crappadore still. Got a new cast put on tues, got the stitches out, its still heavily bruised and very swollen, so it will take a while b4 the pain goes away.

The bike, a nearly brand new Specialized Big Hit Expert, came out of it ok i think?? Honestly i havnt even looked at it since!!!! Still at a mates place who picked it up from the stack!!

Just bought an Xbox, so ill play that on me plasma screen and all should be ok!!!

sort of?

Ahh and no the NOS didnt make me faster, strangely enough it makes everything seem and sound very slow, even your voice. I thought i was in Fear and Loathin in Las Vegas!!! Im sure the honda boys woulda enjoyed suckin on NOS though!!! Would of improved their wank factor...
