At the Brittish and European Motoring Show, we were aproached by a young woman by the name of Charity Shaw from Dutton. She was wondering if the VMCI would be interested in being on their club list. She also told us that she was a fellow Mini owner, but her Clubman was waiting for some spare cash to get a new engine. I handed her an ausmini card, of course.

Well this morning she emailed me telling me that ausmini has been added to the club listing on their website. She told me that although ausmini wasn't a club as such, she would be happy to list us up there.

Had a girl of this description approach me and a mate at a Porsche 356 day about Dutton Direct.....quickly realised she had no idea about cars (knew NOTHING about the 356s she was swanning around....couldn't even pick a favourite) and was more interested in the Falcon she told us she had.

I do quite bit of work for duttons at my work, and im kinda mates with James Dutton of the Dutton direct name!! You might remember i think it was in last years Porsche cup at the grand prix, a porsches bonnet flying up at the start and it speeding across the grid where it crashed head on into a wall, well that was James!! He never asked me about putting the mini club or ausmini on their site, ill have to have words with him!!

Ok well Charity has told me that the the tall slim blonde was a hired promotional girl, and obviously won't be hired again. She also told me that she was a vertically challenged brunette.
