Does anyone is Aus sell these? The only place I have found them is from Minispares in the UK. Heaps of V8 ones available, but too big to modify. Is there anything else I can use?

You could maybe use 12mm flat washers and have them surface ground to the thickness you need?

I don't know if any of the local suppliers have them, however have you looked at hardened washers?

Hi Rookie,

Champion parts do a blister pack of 5/8"id x 1" od x 0.028" thick spacing washers which are perfect for setting your installed heights. I reckon I got a pack of 100 from Abbot Supply here in Bendigo. Otherwise you can make your own out of shim stock....you can get different thicknesses from most bearing suppliers.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Greg

Thanks everyone for your replys.

Greg you are a legend. I was only in Abbotts yesterday. I was thinking that washers would be too thick as .030 is only 0.8mm. I'II have another look tomorrow.

Any cylinder head shop should have hundreds of them, they have a proper name, I just remember what it is at the moment.

At work we have boxes of different sizes (just hardened washers), one particular size suits minis just fine. We also have a valve spring tester so we can work out what springs need how much etc.
