There is a thread here somewhere with a couple of photos. My old dizzy had a little slop in the shaft and the timing kept on going to pot. This one fixed it a treat. |

Yes I used that Pertronix kit, it worked well in mine 8 years ago. One thing to watch though with Pertronix modules- if you leave the ignition on with motor stopped for more than a minute or so (eg if you have your radio wired through ignition) you will burn it out. Pertronix II don't have this problem, but they fit a limited range of dizzys. I don't know if the cheap kits from UK work just as good, but I'm about to find out. |

Yeap, I've used them, but didn't pay nearly that for them. There in 3 or 4 of the fleet ATM. Easy as to fit, makes cold starting much easier, idles smoother, holds timing much, much longer. Highly recommended (or the similar ones). Also as the doc says, DON'T leave the ignition on for more than about a minute. <EDIT> You need to be sure that your coil has 1.0 ohm resistance in the primary (that's the 12V side) or more. Most common coils are OK. |

I use the El Cheapo version, about $50 from Sparesdirect on Ebay. Work perfectly. I did leave the ignition on overnight and only stuffed the coil. |

I bought one from mini spares in the Uk before i saw 1275LS post about SimonBBC. Damn it I always do that. Lesson learnt ask the ausmini gurus first then purchase |
