So this Clubman i'm trying to get done before Hay needs a full tune. Dizzy is probably well stuffed (29D). Mind you I pulled out the dodgyness that the PO had done, and chucked in some old points I had laying around, gapped them by eye (probably not adventagous) and chucked in some BP5ES spark plugs from an old engine (looked new enough) as this thing had the wrong plugs. It now runs.

I am going to fit one of these kits that Mick wrote a How To on. About $40 before postage. For about $120 I can get a brand new dizzy to go in. As seen here http://www.simonbbc.com/automotiveshop/ ... ermax-mini

Any advice before I waste $120?

I put one of their 45D's in my 1275LS in March. Hasn't missed a beat yet. Easy to do as well. Old one out, new one in, set it to 10deg BTDC and off you go.. It does the rest. You can't program it though.

Hope this helps. I have a couple of photos on another thread if you want a look..
