From the May 2010 - Issue 108 Newsletter of the AOMC (Association of Motoring Clubs) President's Report. "The proposed modifications to the Club Permit Scheme continue to move at a glacial pace. I was concerned recently to discover that the position paper to be prepared by Vic Roads has not been finalised and subsequently has not been approved by the Minister for Transport's office. If this rate of progress continues it will be years before any progress is made and improved accessibility will be provided for use of your club permitted vehicle." Vic Roads are still dragging their feet and seem to have no interest in pushing the changes through. We can get new speed limits and Nanny-state legislation passed at the drop of a hat, but this has taken far too long. ![]() ![]() |
