Another UK 7 port just been released! Looks like an ally version of the Minisport one...

http://www.webcon.co.uk/Downloads/Webco ... 20Head.pdf

Not a lot of info on their website though! I would want to see the inlet ports to see how good/bad they are!

But it's cheap!

Yeah, I've been looking into it.
See this thread: http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=61556&highlight=

It's the same casting (made by Pierce Manifolds in California) sold by MED & Webcon in the UK, Hickey Race Engineering sells them in Ireland, and MiniMania in the US. Not quite as good as the Specialist Components or probably the Ken Elder, but not the same price either.

Nice but would be good to see some more photos. Seems to be a rash of these things happening lately, and the prices are coming down a bit. 7 ports are becoming more popular than 8 ports now.

Anyone know how GR's new 7 port is progressing? Is it available for sale yet?

Things seems to have gone a bit quiet on the GR/Elder head.....

You would think that with all Graham's big talk (quite a long time ago now) about 160 hp/130lbs torque on a road car and that it will outperform any other head ($1000 bet) and that anyone was wlecome to see it on an engine/dyno, he would have gotten around to it getting some dyno figures by now........ after al how long would it take him ?

Maybe he opened his mouth prematurely and the reality doesn't match the hype and his ego won't allow him to publish some figures and admit defeat..... until figures are out who is gonna stump over $3300 for an unproven/experimental product......I don't even think there have been figures provided on the old 8 port are there ??

Matt Read's conversions actually can do around these kinda HP / Torque outputs. He offered me a conversion for $1200.............

Graham has alot of other projects as well (mainly for other people). At least he walks the walk though and it doesn't seem like anyone has been brave enough to turn up with anything else to take him on. I'm just looking at the dyno sheet he sent me back in March - 5 port head - over 160hp with a very flat torque curve :) If you are really bothered by his claims then put your money where your mouth is and take an engine up to him to prove him wrong.

The GR fan club is alive and well.I don't deny that Graham is the best mini guy in the world and he has magical powers, etc.

All i know is...... the head has been on sale for a while so a fair assumption to make is that development must have been completed prior to the head being advertised for sale.Another fair assumption is that this development should have included the cylinder head being put on a short motor and being tested .....My question is quite simple. Why is their a lack of information on what the results were ? If testing did not inlude testing it on a block /dyno that would be unusual would it not be ? How can ayone have faith in a product that has been fully developed

Why all the animosity towards a guy who is simply asking for information....is it a case of thou shalt not question GR ??? Weird.

Hi Chris, i mean GT mowog

maybe you should buy one of these conversions, build up the motor and bring it down and put it on the dyno free of charge and then we can see what kind of HP you can make out of the engine as i dont think you will make these kind of torque and HP figures.

Why pick on GT?
He was just commenting on the same HP at a cheaper price! I didnt see him disrespecting your gear!

 Ok, I think everyone should send me their respective head and I will independently test them on my dyno/car?

Thats where it can all get tricky. To have a fair test everyone has to have the same short motor, then bolt the different heads on. But the bimmers have dual overhead cams which means an re13 in it isnt going to do a great deal.
Maybe leave it at equal capacity, equal compression ratio.
And everything else is free?
