Post subject:  RE13 camshaft profile

Does anyone have the inlet & exhaaust openign & closing settings for RE13 Camshaft that I have?

I know we set the TDC of the 1st Inlet @ 108.

I would like to complete the following forumla:
Inlet Opens BTDC:
Inlet CLoses ABTC:
Duration Period: 268
Exhaust Opens BBDC:
Exhaust Closes ATDC:
Exhaust Period: 279
Cam Lift:
Value Clearance: 0.015"

I am comparing a RE13 to BMC731 profile as used in my brother-in-laws car.

Thanks
Wazza

I have a BMC731 going into my engine at the moment. I was looking at the RE13, it is a better cam than the 731 i have been told, mainly because it is of much later design so its development is better than the 731 which is an old design.

Taken from AC Dodd's site-

"Keith Calvers (not his own I know) , RE13 Based on 1 example only;

Checking height: 0.016" @ lobe

Timing: (Intake): 34.5/61.5 (Exhaust): 63.5/32.5

Nominal lobe lift: (Intake): 0.290" (Exhaust): 0.290"

Duration (Intake): 276 (Exhaust): 276

Lobe centre angle (Intake): 103.5 (Exhaust): 105.5

Lobe separation angle: 104.5

Lift on overlap: 0.085"

Accuracy: Good"

I used to run a 731 in my 1310, it wasn't bad back then but these days it's pretty tame power-wise.
RE13 is better for torque & HP all the way up, and goes further before running out of puff.
I have one in the 1412 with Toyota Corolla 1.46:1 rockers.
It made 113lb/ft torque with a single HS6 carb, on GR's engine dyno.
