With good standard valve spring, you get valve bounce about 6000 rpms.....

I wouldn't take an 1100 crank beyond regularly 6,500rpm regardless.. mine never sees more than 5,500 and that's with a '295 head, double springs and electronic ignition. I like 'em reliable

In a mini or a Morris 1100 ???

Many things decide the ability of a motor for its maximum revs. Its decided ultimately by the state of the individual motor's tune (I am not talking hot-up bits here), the amount of wear it has in quite a few component etc etc.

Remember the "very stock standard" formula ford kent 1600 engines could spin 8,000 rpm all day but it took $5-10K to get them that standard.

The short answer on your queston in an 1100 in a mini mostly would peak at about 5,500 rpm, some may reach 6,000 rpm. For a morris 1100 knock off a 1,000 rpm due to its sheer heavier weight.

Properly prepped, a 1098 crank etc is OK to 7000, but not forever.
I used to rev one in my 1220 motor to 8500 back in the 60s. After 20,000 miles a circlip scored the bore. When I pulled the (was new, balanced and shotpeened) 1098 crank out, it had 8 cracks in it.. 2 per big end journal.
Soooooo, don't rev em hard, like I did.

Mine used to see 7000 regularly and sometimes 8000
couldn't understand why the crank broke

Must've been one of those weak cranks.
