MX5 seats are popular here and fit in well. Folk usually fix them though, they don't pivot.

you can improve the originals.

I un stitched mine and added more foam around the outer edges of the bottom and around the sides of the lumbar area. they are much more comfy now. They are actually getting better as they go on.

rather than stick with, you'll stick to your original vinyl seats. at least in summer..
in winter you'll slide off them.

as for aftermarket i didnt like cobras, and the original optional cooper s bucket seats are still available in the UK but hella expensive.

back in MY day :D Paddy Hopkirk used to sell a slip on seat cover that had extra foam on the sides, top and bottom which turned the standard seat into more of a sports seat. They were black vinyl though, so not recommended for summer.

That, and a matt black bonnet were the standard rally prep mods. The really serious guys used to add a sump guard and those rubber switch extenders to the list as well.

Hey that was me.... :) :) :) :) :) :)

And every few months I would need to remove the sumpguard to straighten it, bend it back into shape to stop touching the gearbox and knock out the dents from hitting all the pot holes on the Federal highway to Canberra.

yup, got a pair of those sitting in the garage. Better than the standard low-back seat, but that isn't saying much.
