hey..

so my carb balance was out alot passenger side & i got some one to rebalance it to the other one. it fixed my stalling problem but there is still a hint of it when driving.

when i braking before a bit hard the car nearly stalls, it never did this before.

carb's are fully rebuilt.

what could the the problem? do you think maybe it's still a bit out?

I don't think you'll find it when you brake, if you go down the freeway and put your foot on the clutch (no braking) does it do the same?

Will it idle ok?

Don't know in your case. When my car did it it was because the butterfly shaft was worn and had an air leak and the sudden backing off of the gas pedal would cause the car to stall. I took the lazy mans way out and wound the idle speed up.

I was merely pointing out it's not a braking issue, so no need to overcomplicate things.

Yeh I have noticed the float bowls are stained with fuel also.

Start car from cold idles fine Pretty much it warms up. drive take
Foot of pedal. Clutch in, revs drop down low, nearly stals or just stals.

Clutch overthrow. Back the adjustment of the clutch off.

I reckon it's carby problems.

The revs drop so low it stalls, it drives fine idles fine when I start. Runs smooth.

But when I get going the revs drop when I change gear all through the range.

Then it idles so low as it's about to stall either stalls or runs like a bag of nails low low idel then stals.

But when drviig it runs like a dream.confused!

Ill have to get some one over tomorrow.

That's what I was getting at.

Does it idle ok when in neutral, without the cluctch in? If you then disengage the clutch, do the rev's drop? If so your clutch is overthrowing, which correct me if I'm wrong, is putting a lot of pressure on your crank? (Hence the stalling)

Sorry I'm replying from my phone.

It idles fine in neutral, it is a verto clutch set up.

It does not stall everytime I put the clutch in, costing in neutral it still stalls...

when it was tuned today the problem was gone, But it has returned again.

My mate drove behind me and reckons he can smell it running rich?
