Post subject:  stuck wheel bearing nut
Problem:i removed the rear subframe on saturday & started stripping it down to be painted, rebushed, ect. got all the parts off with exception of the right side bearing nut, it wont budge even though it's packed full of grease, got any ideas? also the dampers are still in due to the top of them corroding but i'll see if giving them a soak in lube will loosen them

Its the rear left thats backwards.

But if the frame is upside or you turned it round then youll have to work out which is which.

I just had a couple of dramas removing one off one of my front wheel hubs. Spanners and a vice could not budge it, but my 3/4 rattle gun smacked it!
Could a rattle gun be an option?

For some obscure reason 1stmotion, your avatar picture has me VERY curious about you. :lol:
Hopefully subway, the hammer action of the rattle gun can help. At work I also have an impact driver for sockets. Looks like an awkward ratchet, but what you do is put socket on the driver, place on nut, then belt it with a hammer. It multiplies the force in a turning motion, and jars the nut at the same time.

You could always fit a ring spanner to the nut and then hit it with a hammer or a block of wood. :wink:

great idea, i have one only its for a screw driver type attachment but maybe able to use a socket too :)

give it a go, but mine is actually designed for 1/2" sockets. Let us know if it works.
