Fired the beast up today (hooray!) and let it run for a good half hour to 45minutes over the course of the day to monitor it and see what's happening.
I only put strraight tap water in the cooling system figuring since the engine hadn't run in years i'll change it later. The car eventually worked its way to normal temperature, though I did notice lots of the hoses were leaking and one on the heated inlet manifold moved a good 1/4 inch from where it was. Figuring since they were new hoses and clamps I re-tightened everything, but the hoses are still trying to come off the barbs on the manifold.
Is this because I'm running straight water in the system and it's overpressurising or should I look at some heavier duty clamps for the offending areas?
