ok guys got a set of 7.5inch disk brakes they went on and they fit under stock standard rims disks have not been machined or anything but on other stock rims they dont fit ???? mine havent been modified at all any thoughts on this |

There are 2 or 3 different calipers: Original Lockheed, fitted to Cooper S and GT AP recent ones (maybe are same as Lockheed, I'm not 100% certain) Unmarked recent ones And there are 3 different 3.5x10 wheels: original thin centre (1961), rivetted thicker centre, rivetted thicker centre, spot welded. Some combinations just clear and some don't. |

the brakes are the Original Lockheed, fitted to Cooper S and GT ones and I suspect with your rims they only just clear? |

S brakes fit under S wheels. Other people have different opinions but none of my standard wheels will turn when fitted over S brakes.. Cheers, Ian |
