Anyone know what size rims these were used with when originally fitted? They dwarf a 5" rim on my deluxe and even a 7" superlight only hangs out a couple of cm. Seems like anything that will fill them out is going to be over legal track width. |

Probably for 6in wide wheels, I have the original BMC wide flares fitted over 6in rims and they just cover them, but you have to remember the track is sometimes also wider with some cars (such as mine) if they have Cooper S discs, spacers or a stepped rear drum fitted. Below is my car with 5in wide contessas fitted and then later with 6in widened Cooper S steel rims. Only problem I find is the edge of the tyre sometimes rubs the guard if you have the wheels partially turned and you go into a dip at an angle, like leaving a servo etc. With 5in Contessas 
With 6in wide steel rims.

look more like UK Group 5 arches than "Cooper S" (basically Gp2) to me.. Compare the red/green cars with the blue one. Cheers, Ian |

you can have a 7" super light under them and still be within 2.5cm, or you can have a 6" with a beefy tyre. Get ready for the aqua plane…... |

phillb, Those are the ones. Strangely your car is the same color as mine! It seems odd that the arch is the right width to cover a 6" wheel but the extra width would then require the front wing to be cut back for clearance. Not possible with the riveted strip in place. So you just grin and bear it with the occasional tyre scrub? |

Maybe the fact its Hydro doesn't help, and it's not like its too low either. I'd be interested in others experiences running 10 x 6in rims. |

I'd be interested in others experiences running 10 x 6in rims. what's your caster like? a little bit more will push the wheels back a bit. Although, looking at the amount of positive camber on your front wheels, I'd guess you have standard bottom arms and tie bars 
I run a set of these which mean I can run standard ride height with a smidge of negative camber... |

Ryan ...and mine have a rough surface (poorly painted by a PO) and are a little cracked in places. (showing their age) Are they able to be repaired or stripped/repainted? ....or do I join the queue behind Ryan.
....or is there a way of copying mine? |

I remember putting a set on a clubman, we just cut out the little lump on the front ones and glassed it up and painted it, worked fine. to copy yours they would have to be repaired, painted then a mould flopped, takes time and then the copies would still only be fibreglass not the original plastic, not that i would care. |
