![]() Since boot boards seem to be a current topic of interest what type and colour of vinyl was used on the GT board? I have a black MK2 board and was planning to use it for my GT restoration. RonR |

Mine is May 72 build. Cadiz with Navy Blue interior. Navy Blue looks RS (its not my favourite colour) so I'm thinking of changing it to one of the other colours if I can find a good complete interior including seats. Not sure if black or brown would be better. Perhaps brown with gold stripes although the car didn't come with the optional stripes. The drivers seat is really bad and needs complete new upholstery. This means finding somebody that can replicate the fake embossed stiching along with the correct vinyl. This very much a work at the very beginning of progress. RonR |

I imagine there's quite a few of us waiting for someone to replicate the basketweave pattern on the GT interior. Pete |

You can add another 2.5 to that list. |

Mine doesn't have the basket weave trim, it has the second type seats with the separate headrests. The upholstery trim is the same as a standard hydro clubman. In theory it should be easier to find some good matching seats. There must be a "little old lady" clubman out there with good seats somewhere. RonR |

Hi Ron, The patterning is different on the standard Clubmans and the GT - subtle, but different. e.g. the pressed stitching is straight on the Clubby, but angled on the GT. I had to look very close to spot this, but they are differnet. Gavin |

Hello Gavin, Well spotted. You have looked a lot closer than I have. This raises another question. Were there 2 clubman trim levels apart from the GT, standard hydro clubman trim and a poverty pack trim for other clubman models such as vans? Regards RonR |

Regards RonR There were 3 different trims up to end of 1972;- The 1100 Clubman and Van had the same, The Clumban, and GT Trim. It does appear (unconfirmed) that some of the last(?) of the GTs shared the same trim with the Clubman. |
