blinkers were working fin 2 days ago, now left side doesn't work ( all around the car so not bulb).

right side is working, inside light comes on and all working fine, But when I try to indicate left,t inside light does not come on and blinkers do not operate.

any help appreciated

where should i be looking, I played around with the lever mechanism but do not know what I am doing or what exactly I am looking for

morris mini 1964

The ground connections for the front and rear indicators are taken from either end of the car, so it most likely rules that out as a common cause.

You will need a test light, multimeter or similar and test for 12 volts on the Blue/Red wire coming from the indicator stalk. Check in two places, at the indicator stalk, and on both sides of the connectors which link the indicator wiring to the car under the parcel tray next to the steering column.

Could be a connection to the fuse block (have you checked if yr brake lights work?), the switch or the flasher can.

You'll probably have to go through it as mick suggests.

Common fault i have found is a broken connection at the switch.
Take off the steering column shroud and make sure everything looks symetrical on the switch and no loose wires under it.
