Bought a weber intake manifold. Can anyone shed some light on possibly what brand it may be and what carbs it may suit? will it fit 40 and 45mm DCOE webers? I think it is the swan neck type i have read about so many times. This should fit without firewall mods to a 65 morris deluxe shouldnt it? Jason ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No it's NOT the classic Lynx `swan neck' (which is higher than it is long). It looks similar to, but not quite the same as a Redline 3005/short Warneford one I use. It should fit in without hacking, as long as you use either an offset filter (Ramflo etc) or short trumpets with sock filters. Lynx swan neck (pic from Graham Russell's's article on Minimania forum) http://www.minimania.com/images/articles/russell_3h.jpg This whole article is a good read, see http://www.minimania.com/web/DisplayID/ ... ticleV.cfm |

I have one the same, had it since the early 70's. Been told is an early Derrington (UK) manifold, it uses O rings instead of the usual soft mounts. For a 45 DCOE, but a 40 will fit. Even if you use a small/narrow air filter, will still need to "adjust" the firewall. |
