Post subject:  Brake hub/caliper tidy up

Stripped the metro brakes down yesterday. Was only able pull the caliper off as I dont have the socket to remove the hub nut (on it's way, thanks Chris)

Question is, there is alot of crap/surface rust on the caliper. I've hit the easy bits with a wire brush and that has produced a result that I am happy with. Took the caliper apart so that I could clean in and around the pistons. Is there anyway I can remove the piston seals without damaging them? I'm not concerned about the pistons themselves as I have a new set but I don't want to damage the seals. If I can get all the seals out in tact I will just get the caliper and hub sandblasted.

No expert but in my book - touch a rubber seal and you replace it end of story, end of headaches

Seals are pretty cheap, I would bin them every time I disturb them.
No way I'd re-use them with new pistons.
If you are going to blast it all, I would leave the old pistons in there, with the seals intact, than strip and fit the new bits.
