no were near the limit. thats an easy fix. it has a "mostly solid floor.

you should see the crap i am fixing. rusty and twisted chassis, that i've had to box and brace before i can fix the rust so that it wont move. and the only panel i can use is the firewall. its unfun..... and i've since found a straight and rust free car on the bay for $12K, this one is going to cost more than that on the chassis alone

That would take some dedication to repair.

Yeah I think if the shell can't support itself then it's a bit far gone.

In the very early 90's we looked after a mint Jag XK120 that had been restored to better than new. I mean perfect! Was shipped overseas to auction.

That car was found somewhere in a boat shed near Sydney Harbour if I remember correctly. It was worse than those pics except for the alloy panels it had. Still it was worth $150k back in '91 so the 60 to 70k it cost to buy and restore was worth it.

I don't think that old van is going to receive a 70k makeover.

Come on !...It's an FJ Panel van  - if you found a Cooper S with body number 506 in that condition would you pay $1500?
