Is the beaver panel off a roundie structural?
Or is it more of a cosmetic item also designed to catch mud and crap?

Just a simple one for you all. Is the beaver panel off a roundie structural? Or is it more of a cosmetic item also designed to catch mud and crap?

IMO it's structural, but you can box it in underneath if you like. Or drill some dirty big `oles in it to let the air and mud out.

i didnt box mine in when i did it (corners that is), made it so water couldnt get trapped in the corners |

am i dreaming, or were the beavers on early 850s not boxed? if so, why were they boxed? doesn't that just create a major rust area or perhaps for structural reasons???

The bottom bolt for the fuel tank attaches right next to the vertical panel that boxes in the corner. It would stiffen up the boot floor in that area a fair bit. I would box it. |
