Folklore says leave it insulated on the rubber grommets. Otherwise you will create a ground loop + electrolyte = corrosion. |

If you must run an aluminium radiator (and invite all the long term problems that come with it) Insulate it, If you cannot do that for certain, then soildly earth it. Or your best bet for trouble free motoring is to put a copper one in. |

and stick a zinc annode in the radiator some where. that will get eaten away first before your radiator. Personally I would go with good copper one, unless weight is a big issue for a race car.[still use copper and go on a diet ![]() |

Hows this go with an alloy block as well as the alloy rad? |
