HI, would like to know what would be the best cam grind to suit a 1310 motor running 3.1 diff. heard that the police grind is pretty good what do you all think? this is for every day driver with bit of hilly country and flat roads.

Russell Engineering RE83 - beautiful torque, would suit a tall diff very nicely

but call GR and discuss it and he'll make a recommendation that will be better than the varied personal preferences you'll get here

I have had great results with a Wade 104 with a set of 1.5 roller rockers. We used this combo in the Targa Tassie car and the results speak for themselves. I belive Graham Russells RE13 grind is also very good but I am yet to finish the motor I am currently building ( a small bore) to test it out! I am sure others on here will give you some great suggestions, tho what type of head you are using, compression ratio etc will of course effect the results.

I am currently working with Wade Cams on a new "race" cam using some new blanks I have had made so we'll see how they go when there finished.

I ran a Wade 104 and 1.5 rockers in Barney, with twin HS4s it made 59.4HP at the wheels (ausmini dyno day).
But having used an RE13 cam in a few engines now, I'd say it would beat the Wade 104 without needing 1.5 rockers on it.
(Wade 104 is pretty low on valve lift)

yeah but RE13 is more suited to an engine that is revved - not to an engine with a 3.1 diff... I had an RE13, GR and I discussed what I do with my car and we decided to change it
