My Master brake cylinder shat itself... which isnt very helpful! It is a 78 model Leyland so its one of those dual systems (or something like that) not the standard leyland cylinder anyway. Does anyone know where i can get my hands on one or any idea where i can get a decent rebuild kit for it? |

Or a reputable brake shop should be able to do a complete overhaul and rebuild for about $200. includes a stainless steel sleeve and the body is cleaned and replated. I have had a few done at Brookvale Brake and Clutch. |

You may also need the proportioning valve to be overhauled as well. ![]() |

The clubby tandem cylinders are no longer available to buy, but you can get rebuild kits for them: http://www.minis.com.au/minis/catalog/p ... ts_id=1049 Alternately, you can buy the newer MCs - the same type they had in rovers. But these are a split bore, and you will also need to swap the lines to the proportioning valve. I'd suggest getting your current one rebuilt and sleeved (but I'm far from an expert). A stainless steel bore will be better than any you buy new, and you know that it hasn't been sitting on a shelf for 20 years with ruined seals. You can get a reco swap, too: http://www.minis.com.au/minis/catalog/p ... cts_id=685 |

As others have suggested, have yours overhauled, don't buy new. |

The K-7800 repair kit is a PBR, should be available from any decent brake shop. |
