ok, some help please my dad bought a fan belt at auto barn for a leyland mini, i assume the same size? looks thicker a bit? code is Bosh 11A0815 his mini is a Rover Mini the Bosh belt did look thicker when i put it on & i'm sure i tensioned it right. so he has been driving the car and the radiator. is boiling i can hear it bubbling inside. i watched him today and he poured some coolant in half a bottle 200 mill with out mixing it just topped it, had coolant in it before, you think thats it? or the fan belt? |

You didn't put it on back the front did you ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry mate, its my warped mind.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Have a listen to the water pump while the engine is running, screwdriver held up to ear, see of something has let go inside, sounds a bit strange if you just changed the Fan belt...try and put the old one back on again and see if its the same..???? ![]() ![]() |

haha yes well i did the same thing to my car and it's been happy days. just seems odd, i replaced his and it's doing this. if they are to loose can that cause a problem? i made it tight and i cant hear any belt slip, maybe to tight. will check all this in the morning for him. |
