I'm just wondering if I should continue to use this hydrolastic displacer. This was the one on the front passenger side so it has spent its whole life with water possibly collecting in the top. I will be putting it in the rear now, but is it ok to use if it is starting to pull away from the side? ![]() ![]() Thanks. |

Looks A-OK to me, in fact for a front pretty good. That bit of rubber that is peeling away is not where they seal, that is the big block of rubber uner that bit. |

Thanks GTM. So basically as the block of rubber under is it still fine, it should be ok to use until that starts to perish (if I notice it next time it is out) or until it blows? Thanks for that, thought I would check and see if I could avoid a blow out on the road. |

Yeah, I wouldn't hesitate to use it either but you could sandblast it and urethane it together. Al |

Thanks for that, thought I would check and see if I could avoid a blow out on the road. It's not normally the rubber that would give out, it's the metalwork rusting that then causes failure of the adhesion of the rubber, or the top hose breaking off, nind you bags have been know to 'burst', fairly rare occurance though. |
