as per the title what's the best and easiest way to repair the battery box i was under the Mini tightening the exhaust clamps and looked over and thought i don't remember the bottom of the battery being plastic. further examination and i realised it was the bottom of the battery i could see with only less than a third of the original battery tray still there

Lucky i found it when i did or i could of had a spectacular Lucas event

One Mini Specialist used to pop rivet new ones in. I am not sure if that is legal, I prefer to weld them, easy enough, just remember to take the fuel tank out first

I pop rivetted mine - used silaflex around the join. can't see how there would be any weakness - you see when it's out the floor doesn't flex and the little bit of movement is stopped when the new box is in.
