Hi all,

Looking around on the internet, I couldn't find much info on the 5-way brake valve, except for a written disassembly on the Australian moke forum. So, I followed those instuctions, dismantled it and now soaking all the parts in metho. I might post some pics later on, because I'm sure some people will be interested.

But a few things first:

1. Would I be right in thinking that the valve in no way effects the front brakes (except for splitting the lines). I rinsed through the front brake inlet and water ran straight out the two front brake outlets, and nowhere else.

2. What is the little spring-loaded piece of metal at the front of the plunger for? Does this restrict the fluid at higher pressures, and is there any way of dismantling the plunger any more to get out the spring mechanism?
