What this means is that any common car over 15 year old will now have a maximum price of $2000. And watch the price of new cars sneak up by about $2000 as well. ![]() |

And watch the price of new cars sneak up by about $2000 as well. ![]() And that's exactly what happened every time the Govt increased the new home owners grant. |

Its also exactly what happens everytime there is a CPI increase or a tax break. The duopoly supermarkets sneak up the prices of staple goods to exactly the value of the wage increase. The only ones getting any benefit is the supermarket duopoly. Mike |

But it will do the short term job which is all any govt' is interested in at election time .... On a side note (since I was bored with the election before it even started ) , maybe we need a new system in Australia where politicians super , pension and salary are indexed to their performance , you keep 60% of your promises , you get 60% of your money ![]() |

I remember reading an artical in Practical Classics, an UK mag that they lost a number of good classic cars to the crusher that should have been saved, not just 80's rubbish. Shame. |

i think i've heard of some schemes excluding classic cars... but if the scheme is introduced, what happens in 20 years time when 80s cars, surprisingly, would be classics? there won't be any around! |
