Hi Guys,
I probably should, and i will do, post this on the Moke forum but would like to see what comes up here as well.

I have found a Moke for sale. Need some help to identify (date of manufacture etc) and a rough idea on what it might be worth.

Details are:

Type: YJBAB1R
Serial No. 4005
Eng No. 9YB/U/H4498
Empire Green.

Although it was hard to find in the shed under all the S--T, It looks to have no major rust. Solid grill model (Part of the front panel). 90% complete, missing hood bows, canvas and a couple rims. The engine does not match the one on the compliance Plate. The guy said it did run Ok. A heap of spares.

Anyone know also what the original engine colour of these early mokes would have been. Photos anyone?

Cheers
Ian

It is a very early (1st series) Australian Built 'Morris Mini Moke - RHD 10" Wheels' probably built in 66 or 67.

Another one Ian ... Aren't you meant to be building a house instead of buying mokes  (just thought I'd get in with that before Trudy did tough she probably beat me anyway)

Definitely worth grabbing if it's a little wheeler (well , it's worth grabbing anyway if the body's good ) .
