| Post subject: | Leyland heater....what connects to what??? |
Trying to hook up my heater system so the cooling system is all finished, what goes where?? Where does the hose goes that is connected to the "elbow" pipe on the drivers side of the head? Inside the car i can see two pipe out lets, one the one rite up behind the heater has the pipe that goes directly to the radiator? The other outlet that is more visible on the passengers side...where does that go? I have an owners manual but it doesnt seem to be much help at all!!! Thanks |

ill pop out and have a look 4 ya * edit* Just had a look at mine and the hose that goes from the radiator goes to the heater tap ( runs in behind the engine steady LHS) the other hose goes from the elbow on the drivers side of the head, behind the carb to the hole next to the engine steady(LHS) and runs around to the firewall side of the heater box. Ive got pics if you need em  Hope this helps

is the heater tap the thing on the side of the heater??? if so i may have connected those up backwards.....is this an issue or can i just leave it that way? Cheers for the help!!! (images wouldnt go astray!!  )

May not get proper flow throo the heater core but the more i think about it the more it shouldnt matter 
Heres a few piccies for ya- First pic is pretty self explanitory 
Second pic shows the hose from the RHS of the head diving in behind the engine steady 
Third pic is the heater tap doodad ( bit dark in there)

Just a quick thread Hi-Jack.......
Mini Maxx where does that hose on the air filter housing go to? Engine breather on the clutch cover?? Mine doesn't have anything on it. The engine breather on the back engine cover (closest to the radiator) plumbs into the actual carby (back to the 1 1/2" SU at the moment until I can get rebuild kit for the weber and some smaller jets). |

Hmmmmm Ok then. Maybe I have mine plumbed up wrong. Here's what I have. Top of rocker cover to Charcoal canister. One from charcoal canister to fuel tank return. One from Carby (but not the filter housing) to canister. Time to hit the books and see if it's right or not.... Thanks for taking the time to go outside and get chilly...

Thanks heaps for those pics!! that was a great help!! for that picture the on that connects to the heater tap is the hose that connects to the elbow pipe coming out of the head? |
