Been thinking about this a while so........

 'Its time to bring out your Dead!'
(Photos and or stories of failed mini parts.)
Rods , Cranks , Flywheels,Valves, Pistons, Tyres, gearboxes , Diffs, Brakes, etc,etc,etc......... or non mechanical items.

Lets put them in one spot.

The Crank on my MkII 2 S snapped once in1996, and over the years I have forgotten where it is! Lost in one of the moves. Wish I had a picture of it to kick this off. Crank broke just next to centre main. It is an Ex Police S so probably due to fatigue , some pretty hard driving I'm sure.Never forget the sound of the bang! Funny thing was, the engine would still start though I certainly turned it off in a hurry!

Not sure why its interesting to have dead parts on show but its interesting to try to understand the reason why, so put in your CSI theory as well!

Cheers!

atn the time she was cruising but could hear something that was not normal. when we looked into it...and going by the pics their mayhave been a small crack in the crank and just got bigger. no other parts were damaged. just changed the crank & bearings. Good to have a well trained wife...well if she wasn't she would not be able to drive it
