Need them before the mini muster. I have drilled tow hooks into my Cooper S but dont want to drill them into my Leyland mini.. :(

Not sure what pic you have, but on the LS (Leyland) on the rear, drill two holes and bolt up a u/bolt on both sides of the rear subframe, then you can use chains or tie downs onto a trailer(u/bolts in red).Hope this helps.

I just put my ratchet strap through the subframe near the rubber cone and then go diagonally across the trailer on the rear, the front is the same but around the tie bar.

Are you worried about scratching it?

Over the tyres is THE ONLY way to do it properly!

If you tie to the subrame, you will end up snapping straps n ropes, its not a bad idea as a safety measure.. just for insurance sake... but its a MUST to tie the car down with things that dont change attitude like the rims (if you have wide spokes) or over the wheels!

+1 over the wheels.
Hopefully Beanie (on here) puts up images of his new setup.
Works a treat.

Tieing to subframes is rubbish - you should never tie to a sprung item - unsprung only!
