NZ seems to have a booming mini market, and mini derivatives (mostly hornets), is it relatively easy to import a mini from NZ and get it complianced in NSW? I would be either be importing a hornet/elf (61-69) or a clubman van (71-79) I know the year has a bearing, and those are the boundaries i would be buying within (what years they were produced). |

i had the same thought a few weeks ago....NZ had the biggest range of Minis in the world, didn't it? however, after reading a few things [just people's stories, nothing offical] i found that it was just as easy and cost effective to import from Japan! Although NZ is closer, you still have to go through customs and paperwork etc. i'm not sure what the source of parts would be like though??? maybe easier to import.. |

Lol kev, i was thinking more along the lines of a clubman estate, since there are so few of them over here (could count them on one hand as far as i know), and they seem to be in decent supply in unzud. I woud buy your van, but i don't have 2K atm. Talk to me when it's cheaper

was going to say, you might have trouble finding a clubman van in NZ, I believe Australia was the only country to produce them... and I doubt many were sent over there |

There are Clubman vans here, not manythough and I think they are Aussie sourced. Hornets are quite rare, only assembled in small numbers, 68/69 I think. Elf's are quite plentiful though, they sold quite well. Al |

What you might find in NZ is a wooden load floor van. these are one of the rarest variants, in fact you won't find many people that know they even exist(ed). They were essentially a cross between a van and a Traveller, they have a back seat with the spare wheel in a well under a plywood cover in the load floor, exactly like a Traveller or Countryman, but they don't have side windows, and I think the grille is pressed in rather than removable. They were only built in small numbers for export, but NZ seems to have got them. Tim |

don't you guys start stealing our Mini's want to keep some for my grand kids how about we give you back the Bledsloe cup instead Mini prices have gone thru the roof over here, I used to be able to buy a runner for $500 now more like $5000.. Rust is a big problem and they are quite different in trim etc to Oz cars.. |
