When I was about 6 years old my dad had an 850 mini.
We were driving along Farnborough beach north of Yeppoon Qld and there were hundreds of crabs running along in front of us. Dad said to Mum,"i'll jump out and catch one and you get in my seat and take over the driving, just don't stop or we could get bogged"
Well guess what happened, Mum stalled it and the tide was coming in.
Dad had to run back about 2 miles and got a bloke who came down in his landrover to pull us out. By then the salt water was inside the car but Mum kept the engine running.
Not sure how the car went for rust after that because a few months later when dad was taking me to school we were T-Boned by a Nissan Cedric with a bull bar.
Spun us around a few times but didn't do much damage.
Dad thought it was time to get a bigger car.

I think it's one of the in car louvres, but it looks different because the window is so misty.

Another reason why it's not a demister :)
