Ive pulled the front sub frame out and removed the engine, drive shafts, shocks and steering arms. But Im stuck on trying to remove the upper and lower suspension arms. Ive cracked the ball joints but I cant work out how the roller bearings separate from the sub frame.

Will I need a cone compressing tool? (dry suspension btw) Is there any other tricks and is there anything that can dissolve all the years of grease?

The top arm is held in by a nut on either side of the shaft, there is a retaining plate on the front of the tower inside the engine bay with two nuts holding that on 7/16" i think and the big 3/4" nut. It should all slide out to the front, you may be able to get it out without a cone compressor depending how old your cones are.

The lower arm is a swivel bolt think that's held in by one nut and it's locked in with a key'd hole on the other side.
