Post subject:  S.U. Air Filters
Ive been running Ramflo filters with Finer Filter inserts for many years on my twin 1 1/4in SU's. What are the other options that are out there? Im keen to change em for something else... I like the look of the (K&N I think) Pancake style filters.

Some P/N's and pics would be a great help.

If someone doesn't beat me to it in the mean time I'll have a look for you when I get home as I run K&N pancake air filters on twin HS2's. I know they have a part number stamped into them.

When you order be sure to get the offset ones otherwise you may have clearance issues.

This is what I'm running. They're branded "HP" which I think is the initials of the guy who produces them here in Melbourne, Hans Pedersen.

They have integral stub stacks and take a standard Ryco paper air filter element.

Thanks mate. So are yours K&N? Do you have a pic? Is that number off the filter housing or air filter element?

Mine are genuine K&N ones. I'll see if I can find a pic of them installed. There is no number on the filter housing, that number is stamped into the rubber surround that runs around the top and bottom of the filter (the bit that is hidden behind the chrome lips).

Ive just realized why Ive been running this style of filter.... Its because Ive got a set of stub stacks fitted.... Im not 100% sure that they will fit inside of the K&N pancake style filter.... Id say they will foul on the filter. Dam....

I'll measure the inside diameter of them if you like. I know my stub stacks (Dr Mini Special's) have been machined to fit inside my filters.

<edit> I just measured mine the internal Ø122mm (4.8"), external Ø146mm (5.75"), height 45mm (1.77").

Sweet. Thanks again. Ill have to have a gander... I dare say its not gunna fit... I think I bought my stub stacks from the US? Mini Mania possibly?
