Was wanting to know is it worth it put adjustable camber brackets on the rear of my mini, arse end has a tendency to slide out when my driving is how can I say... Enthusiastic... Also love the look of a bit of negative camber  should I adjust the front end also?? I can get a complete camber kit for $150 from the UK

Yes I do I'm currently running a set of Falkens. Would LIKE to get a set of road legal semi slicks eventually when $$$ allows |

I can loan you my spare wheels with 33 year old rubber on them, to make you appreciate what you have and then maybe you won't need a camber kit

I think a decent set of rubber will make more of a noticeable difference to handling compared to 1.5-2 deg neg camber. Id save your $$$ for tyres. |

Get rid of the Falkens. My car was enthusiastic around corners too, until I got rid of them. |

Sloppy rear trailing arm bearing/bushes causing toe out under load ??? Bad tyres - and Falkens aren't too bad... try 5.20 cross plies....tend to affect both ends rather than promote oversteer. Minis don't generally need help to reduce tailiness; turn in is the problem. rear camber is not an issue - get the toe right first. Cheers, Ian |

Factory camber at the front varied from 1.2 to 2.5 deg. positive. Only an adjustable set of lower arms is sure to get you right on both sides. You can make your own rear camber brackets by slotting the hole vertically to get negative camber, using a little horizontal welded plate (to the outer bracket) with 1/4" hole and suitable washer welded onto a 1/4" bolt to lock the camber. Use shims to set rear toe-in. My Minis have been set up to drive...distances... so, zero toe at the rear, <1 deg. negative camber at all four corners and at least 3.5 deg. of caster maybe 4.5 deg. (greater the caster the more self centering you get). |
