 Found out why Pops is pulling to the right...... The left front wheel cylinders are leaking. To be expected from a car that didn't move in 5 years.

I have some good cylinders, courtesy of JAM (removed when the discs went in).

Pops front shoes look new, but are soaked in brake fluid. How do you clean them? I thought I heard about soaking them in petrol?!? Anyone??

Get a can of Brakecleen. Or soak in Supercrap's $1.99 degreaser then hose 'em hard.
Better still, let your head go and fit some NEW shoes, they are pretty cheap. Hey it's only your life...

Put your shoes in a flat pan with a small amount of petrol in it...carefully set alight out in the open....worked for me once...

Chong, what happens is they get hot in use anyway and the fluid comes out and gives crap braking. This is just accelerating the process.. to get rid of the fluid. 8)
