Hi everyone

I have recently rebuilt my engine and have fitted a weber carb so i want to find a good dyno tuner in the Brisbane area and was hoping i might get some feedback from other members that may have used someone that was good.

I have heard of the following tuners in the area:

Bob Romano motors
Signature Performance
Advanced performance centre
Motsons tuning centre
Brisbane turbo and tuning

Has anyone had any experience with the above tuners and/or someone else they can recommend.

thanks 8)

Ok so i take it that no one in Brisbane has had their mini dyno tuned, or no one is willing to recommend anyone.

will just have to take the plunge and see what happens then.

A mate of mine knows Mick at Signature really well. Mick is a Skyline guy so no idea if he can tune carbs.

Within 600m of my place are two dynos, GT Auto and Mercury. I have done a dyno day at Mercury but can't say what they're like as tuners. GT are Mazda specialists so they've done the odd downdraft into a rotary. Their dyno, unlike 99% of the others, isn't Dyno Dynamics it is a Dynapac hub dyno so all wheel/tyre issues are eliminated. My mate has had his cars on the dyno heaps there and has nothing bad to say. Again, no idea about carbs.

Thanks Mokesta thats exactly the feedback i was after. cheers for that.

yeh i am guessing it may be hard to find someone who is good with webers let alone with mini's.

i dont want to take the car to someone who doesnt have the parts/jets in stock to do the job, and/or doesnt have an understanding or experience with tuning mini engines.

the last thing i want is my new engine to go BANG!

thanks again 8)

John at Brisbane Tuning and Turbo knows what he is doing.... old race car builder
He has had some experience with minis years ago, but I used him when I had a Starion turbo and was very happy.

He's not cheap though.....

..... Ken from Mini Automotive is freindly with a local rolling road and does Webers... Give him a call

Ken at Mini Automotive had suggested i have it dyno'd this is why i am looking at finding someone who can do the tuning for me. Ken has been extremely helpful so far, i am very greatful.

i also had a starion years ago and had heard that brisbane turbo and tuning was good but have not heard if they had much to do with mini's.

thanks for your help guys.

Jason,,, all those you have listed are quite good

webers are easy to tune no matter what car they`re fitted to & most of those guys have a good assortment of jets, chokes etc in stock
