Post subject: | How do I remove 2pak overspray? |
Mini has been feeling a bit neglected lately as I've been busy with other projects, but I'm finally getting around to those little annoying jobs that have needed to be done for the past few years ![]() When the car was resprayed in 2006, I guess there were a few 'gaps' in the masking and as a result I have some overspray on my dashboard and some of the grey rubber/vinyl trim on the inside of the wheel wells. The respray was done in 2pak. What can I use to remove the overspray without dissolving the original paint on the dash or the rubber underneath? Cheers folks! |

Perhaps try a clay bar with lube? |

and not just normal clay, get some proper panel beaters clay. i painted the front of a building once. and i was with a young bloke that hadnt painted much before. rolled the front of the building and there was a ford falcon brand new in the driveway next door. the wind just happened to be blowing in the right direction, and the car got spotted ALL OVER with dots of paint, luckily it was only acrylic. It took us four hours to wash that car with panel clay. |
