My wife & I just got back from a 2 week holiday in sunny Mauritius and although doing almost 500km around the whole country (about the size of Perth) and Port Louis & other plateau towns (in a baby Hyundai i10), we managed to spot only four Minis and 2 Mokes which surprised me that we saw any at all, but they all had internal hinges so no really old Minis.

Anyway... nothing fancy, but here's a few pics taken including a rusty Moke.

I blame my dad for my love of minis. I think I was conceived in the back seat of one :D
I also blame my Dad for me being 6' 1" - not really the optimum height for driving a Mini.

My local postie is from Mauritius, always stops for a chat, he used to restore Minis there. 8)

That's one of the wired things about Mauritius is that there doesn't really seem to be set residential & commercial areas. A mechanic workshop could be next to to a house, which is next to a resturant...
